Well, the clock is ticking for the NXE update to XBOX 360 coming up November 19 (scheduled). The folks at Gizmodo detail out the top things to know about NXE.
- Installation is quick (if the MS systems can handle the simultaneous updates)
- Avatars are a good idea, but not completely baked.
I guess giving props to Nintendo, but taking it much further than Nintendo can currently deliver - All kinds of performance updates
Hmm, didn’t really notice much of a problem here, but always welcome. - Better organization throughout the system
YES! Sure, it was good, but I always felt it could use some functional improvements - Blades are still available (in case you don’t like the new interface)
For those of us that just cannot get through the new UI. ; ) - Netflix movie streaming integration
Been anxious to get this, since I first saw the announcement of the deal. - Games can be installed and run from hard disk
Not sure if this is good or bad. Good to save wear and tear on the DVD player. Bad, since now I need to upgrade to the larger hard drive. - Media center and playback are still there
WHEW! - Ads are everywhere
Eh. They are everywhere on the Internet anyway, so what is one more spot. - The future is built in
Software updates on an as-they-become-available type scenario, instead of the more common Spring and Fall updates.
