Well, the clock is ticking for the NXE update to XBOX 360 coming up November 19 (scheduled). The folks at Gizmodo detail out the top things to know about NXE.

  1. Installation is quick (if the MS systems can handle the simultaneous updates)
  2. Avatars are a good idea, but not completely baked.
I guess giving props to Nintendo, but taking it much further than Nintendo can currently deliver
  3. All kinds of performance updates
Hmm, didn’t really notice much of a problem here, but always welcome.
  4. Better organization throughout the system
YES! Sure, it was good, but I always felt it could use some functional improvements
  5. Blades are still available (in case you don’t like the new interface)
For those of us that just cannot get through the new UI. ; )
  6. Netflix movie streaming integration
Been anxious to get this, since I first saw the announcement of the deal.
  7. Games can be installed and run from hard disk
Not sure if this is good or bad.  Good to save wear and tear on the DVD player. Bad, since now I need to upgrade to the larger hard drive.
  8. Media center and playback are still there
    WHEW!
  9. Ads are everywhere
Eh. They are everywhere on the Internet anyway, so what is one more spot.
  10. The future is built in
Software updates on an as-they-become-available type scenario, instead of the more common Spring and Fall updates.
